About
Strength training, muscle, bone and weight in perimenopause and menopause for women aged 35 to 65 and beyond, based on NHS, NIH and other official guidance.
What we do
Menopause Lift writes for women in perimenopause, menopause and the years after who want to get or stay strong: how to start strength training, what happens to muscle, bone and weight in midlife, and how to eat and plan a week around it. Each guide answers its question first and links the NHS, NIH or other official page behind every health fact.
We keep to strength, body composition and the habits around them, and our writers are named on the authors page.
How we work
We write from sources a reader can check (NHS, NIH, CDC, ACOG, The Menopause Society, NICE and peer-reviewed studies), link each health fact to the page we read it on, give no treatment advice, and correct what we get wrong.
Every page says where its information comes from and links to it, so you can check it yourself. The full rules are in our editorial policy.
What you will not find here
Invented experts, reviews written to order, or advice that should come from a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant. When a subject needs a professional, we say so and point to one.
How we are funded
The site carries no affiliate links, adverts or sponsored posts. The details are on how we make money.
