How we make money

No affiliate links, no adverts and no paid placements. Here is what that means for the guides.

No affiliate links

Links on this site do not earn a commission. When a guide links to the NHS, the NIH, a study or a product page, it does so because that page backs up or helps with what the guide says.

No adverts or paid content

We do not run display adverts, sell places in our articles or publish sponsored posts. Nothing on the site is ranked, scored or placed for payment.

When a guide mentions a product

Some guides mention a tool where it helps with the subject, such as an app for logging workouts and symptoms. We describe it from the maker's own pages, say what it does and what it costs, and never present it as treatment.

What stays the same

Every health fact still links to the official page or study it comes from, and we still give no advice on hormone therapy, medicines, doses or supplements. Our editorial policy has the full rules.
